Licensed since 2003, WellSpace Acupuncture has worked with thousands of patients to address health concerns and support wellness.

Individualized treatments are determined for each patient based upon differential diagnosis and may include, but are not limited to, the following therapies:

About Our Practice

Acupuncture

Acupuncture treatment consists of the insertion of slender sterilized, disposable, one-time use needles into acupuncture points on the body. Research has shown that acupuncture improves blood circulation, reduces inflammation, affects neurotransmitter response, and regulates hormones, digestion, blood pressure, and immunity.

Herbal Medicine

Formulas prescribed with a Traditional Chinese Medical approach typically contain multiple herbs to address many areas of your health, not just one symptom. Individualized formulas are adjusted over time to reflect changes that occur. Our practice is experienced in safely prescribing herbal medicine to those taking pharmaceuticals.

Nutrition and Lifestyle

Personalized treatment includes lifestyle and dietary recommendations based upon Traditional Chinese medical diagnosis for patients interested. We believe in meeting you where you are and will never push suggestions unless you would like to explore these areas.

Moxibustion

Moxibustion is the process of burning the herb Artemesia vulgaris, commonly known as mugwort, to apply heat to acupuncture points. There are different methods of moxibustion; in general, research shows that it stimulates blood circulation and boosts the immune system to help support the body’s healing response. Moxa smoke has been found to be antiviral and antifungal.

Cupping

Cupping therapy is a technique used to release muscle tension. It works by increasing blood circulation in areas of muscle tightness. Oxygenating these areas improves the body’s ability to clear inflammation and heal. Cupping reduces pain, swelling, and muscle knots. It is also a great therapy to address scar tissue that has developed in muscles and fascia.

Gua Sha

Gua sha is a scraping massage technique that uses a smooth sided tool. It works similarly to cupping as it helps reduce muscle tension and tightness and encourages the healing response. You may have seen this therapy referred to as the Graston method by other healthcare providers such as chiropractors and physical therapists.
